Hello Lissette...

The activities you saw on the cam was very natural for newborn ferrets.

Cammy's kits were delivered on Wednesday via C section after failing
to deliver them naturally.

The jill picking them up and moving is very very normal, she is being
ever so gentle with them. I know this because if my fingers smell too
much like her babies she will take my finger in her mouth and drag me
back to her nest.

You're right, they do look rather alien when they are first born..
squirmy loud little jellybeans... after a few days they start lookin
like squirmy loud little sausages with legs lol

Come back and have a look again, you'll see they are doing well.

The crying is an important part of being a kit, we need to see a cycle
of Squeeking, Nursing, and sleeping .. thats how we know the mum is
doing her job well.

These kits had a rough start and didn't know how to nurse right away.
We had to hand feed them hourly for the first day. They are now growing
like little weeds.

They will stay deaf and blind until about 5 weeks of age and you wont
believe the changes they undergo in that time!

thanks for your interest!

Heather
