Regarding the person whose ferret seemed dazed after getting "skunked" and
would not open its eyes for some time...is it not possible that the little
bugger's eyes were stung by the ferret spray? I seem to remember reading
that a skunk's spray can really sting if it catches a dog or other animal
directly in the eyes. Dr. Williams conjectured that it was just a behavioral
quirk--like maybe the smell was just so bad that the poor thing was afraid
to look?
