Hello all!

Last week I posted stating my Nonnie made it through surgery. He seemed to
be doing great. He was eating his kibble and drinking on Thursday (the day
he came home), Friday and Saturday morning. Saturday evening, he seemed
not to be eating well and he had what appeared to be red welts on his body.
I was given cream for the welts and I have been giving him 1/4 tablet of
batryl twice a day. I kept watch over his eating. Sunday, we made a trip
to the emergancy animal hospital (note: I am paranoid when it comes to my
guys). The doctor gave him a shot of B vitamin and sent him on his way.

Today, I dropped Nonnie off at the Vet's office (he's staying overnight).
The doctor told me he was eating like a fiend, but only his kibble. The
doctors (plural) were dumbfounded as to why he wouldn't eat anything else
they set out for him (he's very picky. he won't even eat raisins or
banana's; only kibble, ferretvite, and milk based products...and Isomil).
Anyway, his temp is in the low 100's (yesterday it was 102.2), he is
swollen in the neck area (appears to be swollen glands). He was given a
steroid shot and is laying on a heating pad.

Please advise if this is what I should expect in the first days after
surgery (his left adreanal gland was taken out as well as the tumor).
What should I expect?

Any info which can be provided would be most appreciated.

Thank you

Lise
