George & Rusty Ferrets from OZ

Hello, I haven t written in for a very long time and felt it was overdue.

My partner and I live in Adelaide, Australia and we are owned by two
adorable little ferrets. They are a constant joy to us, even if George
is a little terror. We recently did some renovations and left a small
hole in the wall when we pulled off some skirting board. I turned by
back for a second and George had enlarged the hole and disappeared into
the wall! I had to coax him out with a treat. The hole is now covered,
but he keeps checking. He s just too smart for his own good.

George is also our cuddle ferret. He likes nothing more after a hard
days mischief than curling up on the couch with his mommy. He crawls
onto my lap, gives a huge sigh for how misunderstood he is and goes to
sleep while I stroke his back. If I stop stroking he opens his eyes
and looks at me as if to say Who said you could stop?

Rusty is my little sweetie. He never nips; he never poops where he
shouldn t. He manages to turn the CUTE to IRRESISTIBLE when he begs for
a treat. He looks up at me and puts his little paw on my knee and I can
almost hear him say Please Sir can I have some more? He loves to be
picked up, but then licks my finger and wants straight back down lol.

I would like to hear from any other Aussie ferret parents.

Erin
