i have a 1 1/2 yo male ferret(ROCKEY) i noticed that he hasnt been eating or
drinking for the last two days, he also now sleeps even more than he did.
now that i am now worried because he looked bad i took him to the animal
emergency service, p.c. in commack, new york(long island)

the dr. examined him and x-rayed rockey. to her findings the was an
FBO(forign body obstruction) in his intestine tract..how far into it ????
had to see. they kept him over night and intravined with iv fluids(he was a
little dehydrated) then for the mega bill of $275.00......(my mouth drops)

tomorrow i have to take him to the vet. the dr. forsees surgery in his
outlook. but i now face various problems :

1) the dr. at my vet who specializes in ferrets in on vacation ! who do i
see now?

2) this problem has to be resolved now, but after finding out how much
surgery is i dont know how i can afford it ?? i was told $400 to $1500

3)but does this require surgery? or can it pass through the gi tract ?? i
think rocky swollowed a small bell hard to tell..

can anyone help me in my new quest ?

i live in new york(long island) islip area thank you
