Ask your vet for a prescription for Pediapred (liquid).  It comes in
4 oz. bottles from a human pharmacy.  It is pediatric, so contains no
sugar and no alcohol.  I always have at least one or two taking pred
and have never had anyone fight taking Pediapred.
