Dear Ferret Folks-

My mother is famous for buying weird food to try out. One of her finds
was 'fig syrup'. It is, not surprisingly, a sweet syrup made from figs.
Brown, gummy, sticky, yummy. It does taste quite a bit like raisins.

I tried to find things to do with it. I found a bit of it turned
gingerbread into something that even I would eat. (I don't really like
gingerbread.) A small spoonful stirred into tea was wonderful. The
ferrets thought it was DIVINE to lick.

Here is an URL for some. http://www.baar.com/figsyrup.htm
It costs $5.95 plus shipping for an 8 OZ. bottle. It keeps forever,
in or out of the refrigerator. It is (supposedly) all chock full of
vitamins and minerals according to the web site.

Anyway, I bet it could be mixed with a variety of ferret meds, with happy
results for all.
