Uh oh... One of our passions beyond ferrets is sushi! We have ferrets named
things like Hamachi, Sake, Suno Mono and Saba! So when your father makes it
to the DC area we can take him to the best sushi places around here - no
peppers at a sushi bar! (Well gotta watch the wasabi I guess)

Oh and most definitely congratulations!

Responding to not just you, but you had the not quite correct information as
we understand it.

Kodo should definitely not be tested in this case but we have to use exact
facts. Rabies in humans can be dormant for years or strike lethally with in
weeks. Ten days is not a magic number where an infected person dies if
untreated. Kodo is not infected we are extremely sure of that - in our
conversations with Robert Jacobs, Dr. Freddie Hoffman, Randy Sellers and
others we are positive that the ferret poses no risk.

We've seen some posts that seem people are too zealous and are writing much
too infammatory peices that will have no chance of success. Trying to
persuade the government workers by calling the government corrupt is doomed
to failure. Trying to persuade them by saying how wonderful it is that the
government has the power to do good by understanding that Kodo has no chance
of rabies will get farther. Remember the old saw about flies, honey and
vinegar.
