Hi Kim, mom of Pebbles and Bam-Bam.

As a firm believer in non-sophistication this message is being copied to
the 'list'. We have those kind of ferrets too - litter box sleepers and
snorklers. Phew-ee. The answer is --Baby Wipes--! They come in many
thicknesses, from tissue paper thin to nearly as thick as a burrito, and
in scented and non-sented. None are made with alochol, most contain aloe,
a natural plant extract soothing to the skin.

Baby Wipes are our household cleaning staple. I'm highly allergic to many
chemicals found in standard household cleaning products. In the ferret
area a roll of paper towels and box of baby wipes are always close by. I
purchase the white Chubbs boxes for asthetics and re-fill them with any
brand on sale.

A ferret who's napped in the litter pan or sat down in someone's floor
puddle can be wiped down quickly, and will once again be sweet smelling. I
try to wipe everyone off several times a week, and the dedicated more
often. Baby wipes are also great for those ferrets with over-active ears.
One of our ferrets produces so much ear wax I suspect someone told him it
was a marketable product, and I use a baby wipe to clean the inside of his
ears and the fur around the ears.

Are the ferrets sleeping in the litter pan because they don't like the
alternatives? Maybe they would like the cosyness of a plastic pan with
their sleepsack placed in it. Is the place you have chosen for them to
sleep in the light? Ferrets want a dark place, away from sunshine and/or
artificial light.

Georgia - the left coast one...

PS: Has anyone checked the Kouri Klub site today to make sure Chineese
hackers haven't infiltrated it? If the do, Kouri will just use the
cat-a-pult and lob their stuff back at them!
