Hi All
knowing that the furkids get bored easily and that we need to keep them
occupied, I thought that you may like to try these cheap and easy ways to
make toys for them....

Take an empty , clean, clear pop bottle and remove any labels. drop into
it about three or four marbles screw the top back on nice and tight and let
the fun commence, there is plenty of noise. and movement and the marbles
just ask to get caught and chased, and just look what happens when it is
jumped on at the narrow end.

Go to your local film printers,, the sort that do the developing on site,
and ask them for the empty 35m film cases..... get as many as you can ...
then just empty the lot into a nice big box that the furkids can get into..
the more cases the better,,,,,ferret heaven in a ball pool. Loud noises
and moving items that they can burrow into and hide things in.

Go to your local plant nursery and buy a metre of LARGE bubble wrap, (this
is used to insulate the plants from the frost.)..... now place two pillow
cases together and sew them together along the first long side, then along
the bottom of the cases and finally up the other long side leavening the
opening at the top of both pillow cases free so that you can now insert a
piece of bubble wrap that you have cut to fit into each open end of the
pillow case's. finally just whip stitch across the two openings of each
pillow this is to stop the furkids getting into the plastic, you should now
have a bag that has bubble wrap enclosed on both sides... this is great for
playing hide and seek in and also for jumping on your buddies as they hide
in it ..you will be able to get several crackle bags from each metre of
bubble wrap and you can unpick the whip stitch to remove the bubble wrap so
that the case can be washed... get your pillow cases from a charity shop..
perhaps this will be a nice fund raiser...

If you can't get the bubble wrap then don't despair use lots of plastic
bags instead.... hope you will enjoy making these....
