If the suscriber that asked for info about deaf ferrets emails me, I will
mail him the posts I have saved about deaf ferrets.
 
It took us quite some time to notice Boum Boum was deaf as we thought:
1) He concentrates so much on what he is doing (like digging the rug, one
   of his favorite occupation), that he is not paying attention.
2) He never listens!
3) Why is he not always coming when we call the others to get treats?
4) May be he is deaf, let's do some tests...
5) He is deaf.
