I have to add to this statement.  I have the same cage but it depends on
the type of ferret you have.  My oldest ferret (now 2.5) figured out how
to open the doors within a month of getting the cage.  He even figured
out how to get the twist ties we were using till we got something else
off.  We now have springs with hooks keeping the two front main doors
closed, he doesn't try to get the side ones open.  However, my other two
ferrets show no interest in getting the doors open unless I open them.
