I started using Frontline when the product was 1st introduced several years
ago, after getting the approval from my vet.  I've had no adverse affects
that I know of, only flee-free ferrets & dogs.
 
Are you sure it was Frontline & not Bio Spot which we've read several
not-so-nice post about on this list?
