At home I have a set of hollow steel balls called Chinese Steel Baodang
Balls. These are for mediation, and they chime when you roll them about in
your hand.

I decided that Pixel would enjoy chasing these so I rolled them across her
path. Instead of chasing them like anything else that moves, she slinked up
to them and started hissing at them. She would nudge them, stop and hiss,
and walk around them.

One would think that she didn't like them, or felt threatened, but at time I
have caught her trying to get them out of their storage box. A love/hate
relationship.

They are pretty common and cheap in china town like places ($3 to $5 here in
LA,CA), also commonly sold for $20.00 in trendy mail order catalogs.
