I'm tired of poop and pee-soaked litter...I have a huge house where my
bedroom and the back door are the farthest from each other; I gag at that
fresh smell of ferret waste...I am indeed tired and have been since I got
them. But isn't that what pets are for! Especially ferrets. Ferrets
require your mental and physical strength, despite their decieving size.

I say, whatever keeps them pooping where they're supposed to, go for it.
It is extra work, but that's better than having to clean up poop from
places it shouldn't be.

If not, I'd try some cage rearranging. clean that favorite corner well,
and put some of his bedding there (an old t-shirt that he's been sleeping
in for a week) that smells like ferret through and through. Most likely
he won't poop there anymore.
