Toys: I gave my group their own purse, with cards and things in it to
retrieve, (silly me thinking they would stay out of my real one). and
they really enjoy checking it out regularly in case something new is in
it, so far not found where they put anything back into it.

Also, can't emphasize enough the fun they have in their indoor sandbox:
and I have a yard I take mine out in for an hour a day = explore yard,
dig in sandbox. (silly me thought it would stop them from digging in my
houseplants)

Names: my whole crew really liked the name Lugnut but Drano the Great
Dane really thought it was meant for his breed, it is tough, masculine,
has clout.

For the older ferret, I believe I said it before, have three from infancy
and 3 older ones: can't feel any more tender towards the older ones than I
do the younger ones, in fact feel closer cause they are more affectionate
and calm and can be held and petted yet they still play and bounce and act
immature. Of course, I also like senior citizens over squalling little
infants, grown dogs and cats over destructive pups and kits, mature horses
over crazy looney colts, etc. At the Dallas show, we had lots of shelter
babies competing and the affection they showed their adoptors and their
beauty was no less than the one-owner kind. I recommend totally at least
visiting the shelters near you when you are in the market for a new
addition to your family - before going to the pet store to see what they
have.

and now for my embarassement - not as bad but "why me???" I have custody of
my grandchild with a nightmare past to it - had her in a private school
since the 2nd grade, now in the 6th and for the first time I get two of the
people from the school to "drop in" visit. Even if I say it looks like a
day care, I care very very much how the house looks, with the Ferret
Olympics, State Fair and a day out with friends to celebrate a birthday,
the house hadn't been cleaned in 4 days except for litterboxes. I took my
visitors into the den, told them about the ferrets and then we sat down to
discuss school things. AGain, mine do run free in the den (ferrets not
school teachers). And be darned, if Joy and Cascade didn't get into it
again (I don't think it was over Cascade sleeping with Dizzy as it was end
of the day and they were up and about) Joy brought out her ultimate weapon
just as I reached for her, I mean she doesn't just poof, she poofpoofs.
These refined little ladies were kind and we retired to the livingroom
where I should have kept them in the beginning. I didn't even return to
the den for a couple of hours myself. "why me??"

Millie & her noble cleaning crew
Easy Off: the most perfect ferret in the whole wide world
Ammonia: Gee, its much easier just taking the lining out of the shoes
instead of dragging the whole thing under here.
Cascade: Oh Dizzy, let me fetch you another pingpong ball.
Ajax: you just call Joy over to help you, I'll call Grandma. We'll see
       who has the last word.
Dizzy: It started out so peaceful.
Joy: Cascade you just swing those legs right back outa Dizzy's hammock,
      you hear me.
