Hello Fellow Ferret Lovers:

Only yesterday I heard my pretty Madeline the Cat crying out so I ran to her
rescue, finding that Sasha the Ferret thought it would be a great idea if he
tried to drag her under the couch. Maddy was opposing the very idea and
Sasha was having a tough time. I told Sasha "off", he complied and Maddy
lay back staring at Sasha, swishing her tail and I'm sure I could see her
smiling at Sasha. They engage in this little game periodically and neither
one hurts the other. Hmm....maybe that's why Maddy is gaining weight:) Katy
the Tiny Ferret will go a round with Maddy once in a while, but she dislikes
being in "the hold" that the cat puts on her so the scuffle is only brief
before Katy bounces off to something else.

Feeling particularly feisty I suppose, Sasha was seen leaping at Baxter the
Dog's face, making his best attempt to grab onto a canine lip. However,
Baxter easily deflected each lunge by turning his head ever so slightly,
patiently waiting for Sasha to move onto the next caper. We stood back and
laughed ourselves silly. Oh the games these furkids play. Baxter is a
border collie/black lab mix - big baby.

We have two other cats, ten and eleven years old who Sasha motivates
periodically by gently giving one or both sleeping ladies a little nudge
which sends them both hissing and growling into different directions.

While integrating each new pet into the household, we've never pushed the
issue, but rather let the furkids work it out on their own, while we
carefully watched for any indication of discord.

A game our ferretkids love and which sends them tumbling over each other:
grag a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt and drag along the floor. Our kids run
to climb into a sleeve for a ride while trying to keep the other furkid from
climbing in. Hilarious.

The FML wonderful - I love it!
