Hi to all you ferret lovers,

A few days ago, Rose wrote with a concern about her friskiest ferret
getting over the gate. I use a wood barrrier which slides into a slot
I made out of quarter round. I put the barrier at a height that it was
reasonably easy for me to step over. This also made it reasonably easy
for Loki to take a huge jump, grab the top of the wood with his little
paws and worm his way over. But I foxed him. I cut a slit in a piece of
2 inch PVC (or is it PCV?) pipe - the white plastic stuff. I slid that
over the top of the wood and he can no longer get a grip and I can still
step over. Sure beats trying to do the high jump to get into the ferret
room.
