Ferret's Hair not growing back

Hi all,
 
My female ferret, Sabrina had surgery for insulinoma in July.  Everywhere
they had to shave still hasn't grown any hair back.  Sabrina also had
adrenal surgery 2 years ago, but her hair grew back then.
 
I feel bad for her, especially with winter coming (I'll have to keep the
room warm).
 
I have been told that this sometimes happens - molting or whatever?
 
Anyone have any similar experiences?  Can I hope that her hair will grow
back.
