Hi Everyone.

Update on Georgie, our newest ferret. He's been here 5 days now, and he's
coming alone well. He's been playing extremely well with the other five
ferrets, sharing with them, and he's really opening up. You can tell that
once in a while he still gets scared and timid, so he retreats under the
love seat and watches the others, or falls asleep. He slept in the cage
with them last night, but tonight he didn't want to go in the cage with
them, so I put him in the cage he is use to, the one she gave me with him,
and he went right to sleep. I thought it was best for him to go back in
his cage, only at night, since he wanted to, as I don't want to rush him,
or put any more stress on him. In the morning he'll come out for the day
with the others to run and play, and can retreat to under the love seat to
watch or sleep, what ever he wants to do.

I posted yesterday that I have a friend in UT that is looking for a ferret
in that area, she has given me permission to post her name, email, and
information so that should one of you have a ferret in need of a home, and
you are in her area, then you could email her directly. Her name is: Julie
Currier, her email is "Julia Currier" <[log in to unmask]> She lives in
St. George, Utah. If you have a ferret in need of a good home, or know
of a shelter near her, please email her directly at her above email that
I listed. Please do post and let us know if something works out.

I had mentioned also the other day, that Georgie would not eat. Well, I
went out and bought what his old mommy use to feed him, dry kibble-Friskies
chicken and liver. When I came home I put some in a dish and let him out
by himself, and boy did he eat that, I guess he wanted what he was use to.
I will have to slowly mix the totally ferret in with that, and slowly wean
the Friskies out. He is such a nice tempered ferret, so loving, I call him
my "lap potato" as he lays on my lap, even laid with me on the couch and
went to sleep earlier. This may be because he's still new and everything,
including us, are strange to him. Maybe in time, he'll be like the others,
only sit on my lap when they want a goodie. But for now, I will enjoy the
"lap" time.

Hope you all have a great week, and dooks from our fur kids to yours.
