I know this has been a subject that has come up time and time again. There
were so many different things that caused fur loss. I apologize if this
type of question has already been answered several times, but I'm very
worried about my fuzzy...

Sculley (he's about 7mos old) started loosing fur around his neck about a
week ago. When I first noticed it, he had been wearing a collar that he
must have gotten wet. I'm not sure how long it had been wet for (possibly a
day or two). I immediately took off the collar (washed it in anti-bacterial
soap) and gave him a bath as well. He had been scratching that area, and
rubbing his neck along the floor (to scratch it). I have not put the
collar back on him since--not until I find out what happened. (I would
eventually like him to wear it again, because it makes finding him much
easier!-it has a bell) Another smaller patch (closer to chin) is also
loosing fur now too. If this keeps up should I bring him into the vet? Is
this normal?! Can I put something on his neck like antibiotic ointment?

(btw-all other vital signs are fine; he's very active/playful, poop looks
normal, appetite is normal...)

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
Jennifer
