Jeanne-
Just to elaborate a little more on the vomiting part of ECE. It is possible
that some people are confusing the two. Sometimes the diarrhea looks just
like vomit, it is so watery, mucousy, frothy, and slimey (I'm sorry if
anybody is eating breakfast while reading this!) that the two can often
be confused unless you've seen which end it's coming from.

In my own cases, the vomit has been a mush mixture and more of a solid
form, and sausage-shaped rather than a puddle. Since I actually saw them
vomit, I know for sure this is what it was.

There were many times I couldn't tell from looking at it which end it came
from, unless I saw which end it came from!
