Well, I did it.  I called the White house.  A very nice young man answered
and told me they are getting LOTS of calls about Kodo.  I mentioned to him
the 8 year old girl from New Mexico (I remembered her name, Juliette Harris)
who last year went through rabies shots to spare the life of a (never
vacinated) bear cub.  I said that I would be willing to donate to a fund to
offer the shots to the Michigan gentleman scraped by Kodo's tooth.  I still
wonder why an 8 year old has more sense and compassion than the elected
officials of Michigan, but that's probably a subject for Dennis Miller.  I
asked them to please, please at least ask for a Presidential stay for Kodo.
The fellow who answered said they are taking a toll of calls, so please,
please call and add your voice to this.  I'm still holding out hope, we love
you Kodo!!
