This is coming from a friend in need, so any help will be greatly
appreciated!!!

Thank you!
Sandy

Hello,

My 3.5 year old fert Mac is "off" ... he had a bad allergic reaction
to his distemper vaccine a week ago and he never fully recovered. More
than that , after getting better he slowly declined a little. I need to
take him to a vet. His glands are enlarged and both my husband and I
have a sore throat, so it could be that he just caught that. One of his
cage-mate has large lymphnodes too. I talked to my vet and he said I
should wait a little more and then take him in. He is a small animal
specialist but I don't know if he is the best or can be trusted. he
does have ferret experience but i am very skeptical.

How can I know what ferret vet is good in my area? I live in Madison,
WI on the west side. The things is that my fuzzies get VERY upset when
transported (ESP the one that is sick now) so I can't take him to vets
that are far away! I don't think he would make it! he get SO UPSET! How
can I ask who is good? WHOM should I ask?
