For anyone that's interested, I just travelled from Dallas, TX to Peoria,
IL via Chicago O' Hare on American Airlines last month and I had no problem
taking my ferret under the seat in the cabin.  They requested a Certificate
of Health (showing shots were current), a carrier that fit under the seat,
and $50.  I got a lot of weird looks, but that was it. :)
