Debbie,
My little girl had that darn disease, she didn't go bald, but the vet had
to shave her. She did get very thin before the surgery and all I could
do is hold her and cry. I was scared that I was going to lose her and I
couldn't handle that. She was a gift from my husband and I love her so
much. I had asked for a pretty little girl that was a lite color and he
looked for months until he found Bandi. She's a sweet loving baby and when
she got sick it crushed me. we are still working on the weight, I call her
my little skinny-minnie. You will find that hopefully it won't happen to
you, but if it does, you will love them no matter what. She is still the
most favorite and then some now because she has gone thru a great ordeal to
still be with me. I saw pictures of other ferrets that had this disease
and I'll tell you it's a very scary sight and I thought the same thing, but
you can and do accept it.

P.S. The hair has grown back. She's a black panda but now she's a little
darker than she was. The guard hairs are mostly all black now. But now the
color doesn't matter as the fact I still have my little nosey girl back.

Rocky
