There have been a lot of recent reports about Marshall Farms baby ferrets
being shipped way too young to pet stores. Does anyone still have a doubt
about what the bottom line is for Marshall Farms? Surely it's not the
health of their ferrets.

I talked to someone in Customer Service at PetCo. She said that Marshall
Farms told them they are sending out baby ferrets at 7 weeks. If you are
seeing MF babies LESS THAN 7 WEEKS OLD at a Petco, the Petco main office
would like to know about it. Please call their customer service office and
let them know the location of the pet store. Their number is 858-453-7845
(San Diego) or 800-571-2952. Again, this is if you have seen babies less
than 7 weeks old at a specific Petco.

If you haven't seen them yourself but are concerned, please write to
Petco at:
PetCo Customer Service
9125 Rehco Rd.
San Deigo, CA 92121

(The person people were contacting before, Mike Woodward, works in a
different area now.)

I personally can't wait for the day when MF goes out of business.

Ronnie in Mass.
