Hi everyone in Central Florida and elsewhere. Central Florida
Ferret Friends is alive and well. We kicked off our official
activities by exhibiting several of our ferrets (Sneakers, Snowy,
Sparky, Nikki and Aucki) at the Blue Spring Manatee Festival at the
Volusia County fairgrounds January 30 and 31. It was unbelievable.
People have sooo many misconceptions about ferrets. We also had many
older folks tell us about how they used to send ferrets down rabbit
holes to chase out rabbits. Anyway, we displayed our babies and
talked and talked. By the end of the weekend our ferrets wanted to
hide from the multitude of squealing kids. No ferrets do not bite!
We sold ferret buttons and magnets that I decorated by hand. We also
sold hammocks that my friend Debbie Coburn made by hand. Debbie is
the President of CFFF (the club mentioned above). She has extensive
knowledge of ferrets and breeds them locally in Orlando. She also
travels all over the Eastern seaboard to Ferret shows. One of her
ferrets is a triple grand champion.

We are thinking of just being an independent club instead of
affiliating with IFA because we have not heard from George Harmon for
months. Has anyone heard from George Harmon? Debbie has tried
repeatedly for at least 2 months. That is all for now. If you are in
or close to Central Florida let us know you are out there!
