you might be surprised.... sometimes young people are more receptive to
suggestion than you might think--it's older people who are often too set
in their ways to accept that something might be wrong.
 
there's a good chance that they don't know that the conditions at the
store are too terribly bad--they're likely just following protocol, doing
what their supervisor told them.  approach them in a non-accusing fashion
and they might actually listen.
 
it's worth a shot.  don't give up on someone based on an assumption--you
might lose a chance to make a difference.
