Treats: my sprite Giesela likes a couple of things I haven't seen others
feed their ferrets as treats. Freeze dried liver dog treats (come in a
plastic barrel - I order mine through a catalog). She also likes these sort
of pressed orange turkey dog treats from Merrick. There a round disk, 1/4"
thick, maybe 2 1/2 inch round. I break off a bit for her and she crunches
away. She also at a little cooked ground hamburger for the first time this
week though I've offered it before with no interest.

I noticed the Ferretone post. You can also buy fish oil in caplets - I cut
them open and squeeze them out on a plate. They like it almost as much and
while I'm sure it has vitamans in it naturally there aren't a whole lot
added to it.

As for Erin's comment on how early MF ships - well I know some stores that
get them in before 6 weeks keep them in the back for awhile, i.e they get
them at 4 or 5 weeks but dont put them up forsale right away. This is not
necessarily related to MF or just MF. I saw a bunch of kits like this at my
vets getting shots (not sure this particular batch was MF). The pet store
owner had brought them in and said they kept them in the back till they were
a bit bigger. Erin its great you haven't seen pet stores get them in
earlier but it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
