Rochelle-

A great source for the Midwest ferret playpen, which is what we have, is the
Jeffers Pet Catalog, phone number 1-800-JEFFERS. The cage is available for
129.94 + 9.95 s&h. Item code is MJ-P1-28. Jeffers also carries Totally
Ferret and other ferret supplies at good prices.

I strongly urge you to consider the ferret playpen, it's well worth the
money. In fact, we paid $170 for it in a pet store, and it's still the best
ferret investment we've made since getting the fuzzies!

The playpen is 3 feet long, 2 feet deep, and 4 feet tall. It has
collapsible coated wire bar sides and has a sturdy plastic base on rollers.
There are two large ferret proof doors, one at the lower level, and one at
the upper.

The playpen comes with two snap-in plastic shelves, two ramps, and a
hammock. You can order more shelves from the manufacturer (their number is
1-800-428-8560), I do not remember the cost, but I think it was less than
$30 for three including shipping.

Side view is roughly like this, I'm sure the scale is lousy, but you get the
idea:

We've modified ours with three additional shelves and a length of 4" PVC
pipe(shown by the 'I's) tied to the back of the cage to connect two shelves.
(Many thanks to the person on the FML who suggested this modification a few
years back)

We have no connections to any of the companies mentioned here and have
nothing to gain from promoting them; the playpen is just a great cage.
