I know a lot of us out there are very "close" to our vets!  My vet has a
party where everyone gets together, and either gets their rabies vaccine or
their booster shots, one year a person from the center for disease control
acctualy came to the office to do everyone.  I don't know, but if you were
a shelter and had volunteers or a club?  Maybe it would be a group
discount?  I have taken in several different animals over the years, and
it is better to be safe than sorry.
 
P.s. I only keep the ferrets though : )
