It's very likely that Hurricane Frances will batter the Southeastern US
over the next four days, leaving thousands homeless, and creating
absolute havoc with the already much overburdened animal shelter system.

Please start thinking about any supplies that could be shipped to assist.
The central Florida area is still reeling from Hurricane Charley, where
two shelters were literally wiped out--the buildings simply disappeared.
This one has the potential to be much, much worse.

We were in NJ for Charley, but we're going to be riding Frances out
in Florida. Luckily our home is built to surpass the latest building
regulations, and hopefully once she's passed, we'll be in a position to
check on the area shelters and deliver supplies.

Also, foster homes are greatly needed for pets whose owners have had to
turn them in to shelters as they have been left temporarily homeless.
Please contact me if you are able to open your heart and home to a
temporarily homeless pet.

Tonight will be the last time I'll be checking e-mail for several days,
so be patient if I don't get back to you.

Anne
