You may suspect a blockage or partial blockage in your ferret if you see
one or more of the following symptoms:

Lack of stool for 1 or more days
Straining to defecate
Vomiting/nausea (pawing at mouth)
Very thin stools and/or very small amounts of stool
Loss of appetite/refusal to eat

Blockages/partial blockages are life threatening. Try administering a few
1" dosages of Laxatone or Petromalt (cat hairball remedies) within an hour
or two of each other. If the symptoms to not go away fairly quickly on
their own, go to a vet immediately. Have the vet x-ray your fert. If
something shows up in the x-ray, surgery will probably be necessary. A
barium study may also be necessary as some kinds of blockages (hair, cloth,
etc.) do not always show on an x-ray.

I wish you and your fert the best. Please let me know if I can help in any
other way.
