First of all, Lo, I'm so glad that your dad has made it home! I am in St
Petersburg FL and last I knew, my co-worker's dad was still stranded in
New York on his way home. It was also nice to hear that everyone diverted
to Canada was so well taken care of.

Someone mentioned the candle light vigil on Friday night. We participated
too from our home, but b/c we had had a severe tropical storm here on
Friday the candles wouldnt stay lit outside. We lined our windowsills
with them instead.

I belong to a couple other lists and have been appalled also at the
anti-American attitudes that are being expressed. I feel like no matter
what your political/religious beliefs are, we're all Americans and we're
all facing a very big crisis.

For those of you who have lost someone or have someone very close to the
affected areas, my thoughts are with you. During Tuesdays events, a
plane made an emergency landing in Cleveland Ohio b/c of a bomb threat.
My whole family is in Cleveland. My dad works in one of the biggest
skyscrapers in downtown Cleveland and before I could get through on the
phone to anyone, I was seeing on the internet about the plane and the
evacuations of downtown and I was scared to death. Of course everyone
was okay there, but the not knowing was horrible.

So that I can justify sending this post, I'll include some ferret stuff,
LOL. My four fuzzies are taking over the house this afternoon. Abby
loves dragging the cat's water dish around the kitchen floor. Annie (or
"new girl" as we call her) is obsessed with chewing the buttons on the
remote controls and the telephone. Andre (or "boy" as we call him), one
of our deaf ones, is so cute as he gets right in the cats' faces and dares
them to swat him. And Ally (or "baby" as we call her) just had bladder
stone surgery a week ago and has been back to her normal self since the
day after the surgery. She doesnt like the twice a day antibiotic, but
she only has another 2 or 3 doses left before she's done. Already her
stitches on her belly have dissolved and she's crazy as ever! There's
never a dull monent in this household!
