Thanks for all the responses!  I was a bit worred that there might be
something wrong with those kits that I saw.  However, none of them appeared
to be in any pain, and there was no visible irritation.  Thanks especially
to Debbie; I'll bet that the reason for the slight protrusion IS because of
the descenting surgury.  That would explain why I only saw the condition on
the newly arrived kits and not on the slightly older ones.
