Do NOT assume Cindy or Pete have lymphoma unless a biopsy has been done!!
Blood tests and ultrasounds are not enough.

Cookie became very ill a week ago Sunday. I suspected a blockage because
she kept running to the litter box or corner with little or no output.
Exploratory surgery on Tuesday showed 4 hemorraghic enlarged lymph nodes.
The vet removed 2 and sent them for pathology. For 4 days I was
convinced the results would come back showing lymphoma, but there was NO
sign of that or ANY neoplasia! Instead the enlarged nodes seem to be
secondary to some sort of infectious process.

Cookie is responding to antibiotics, and slowly improving. High doses of
Pred would have been the wrong thing to do, possibly slowly the healing
process.

I hope Cindy and Pete recover quickly!
