I make it through my wedding no problem (my hubby wasn't so lucky)... but
NOW you have to prove to me that I am a normal female human at weddings.
Sigh. Sniffle. Just so's you know who is posting out of nowhere: I'm a
lurker whos been around for a few days (about 5 I think?). I don't have any
ferrets right now (GASP!) but am planning on getting some (phew!). I am
slowly breaking down my husbands resistance... three things seem to be
working:

1. Frequent exposure to the cute little ferrets in the BeastMaster
(including that horrible death part... yuck... but it makes him all misty
eyed and gets him to say "You know, we really need to honor those ferrets by
getting some someday..." :) My huband... He Who Honors Fictional Ferrets...

2. Frequent exposure to letters about poor homeless ferrets, lost and
wandering desolate through life without a home.

3. Exposure to the dreaded P phrase -- Pet Store Ferrets. Something about
those poor little critters in tiny cages just gets to him. We were SO CLOSE
last weekend! There was a little bitty white one who just put her teensy
little paws on the glass and stared right at him... ignored every single
person who was trying to get her attention... then (he was standing there
for 15 min at least) when an employee took her out to show to someone
performing a really neat flying jump onto his shirt... (cats do it to him
too... animals love my husband... don't know why yet... maybe he smells
good...)> Unfortunately, we didn't have the $275 available. :( Otherwise,
she would have come home with a nice big cage and everything (okay, so it
would be more like $500... rent! Hmmm... maybe if we avoid rent we can go
buy a ferret....) Well, bye!
