Well... I have a problem similar to you.  I have 1 dog, 2 ferrets, 1 bird,
2 gerbils, 4 hermit crabs, and 3 fish tanks.  I keep all of these (except
the dog) in my bedroom!  =) Whenever I want another pet everyone I know
gives me a hard time with basically no good reason.  Like you, it's my
money, my time, my work, and my room.  I doubt that there is a true "pet
fanatic" who doesn't get grief from their friends and family (if there is,
all the power to them).  You're the only one that knows why you love
animals so much and how they make you feel (I really can't put words to why
I love them, I just do!).  So, maybe we have to put up with it, for the
love of our pets.
