I gather there may have been some who did not quite understand who my
post was about... so....to set it straight...
 
there are shelters and there are rescues and there are sanctuaries...
sometimes the names are interchangeable...but what it boils down to is...
 
some rescue/shelter/adopt...
some rescue/rehome
some rescue/keep [sanctuary]
 
i was referring to those who take them in THEN try to adopt them
out...not about those that take them in then keep them for life....
 
i realize that donations and volunteers are always necessary to all
types of rescues...indespensible... but i was referring to the ferrets
in shelters that need to be adopted...
 
they can not keep taking more in at such a higher rate than those being
adopted out...
 
this is my last comment on this...i hope...
 
i did not mean for my comments to hurt or seem to put down the needs of
the sanctuaries and rescues who take babies in forever... i meant it to
help those shelters who are overcrowded...
