The two blue dots in your ferrets right ear mean that he/she is from
Marshall Farms, a ferret farm in Western NY.  There has been a lot of
contoversy over Marshall Farms due to the fact that some of the animals the
breed go to labs.
 
Other controversy is over how some of the ferrets have been inbred to
prodeuce better looking ferrets and their longevity is not that great.  I
have had ferrets from Marshall Farms in the past and they live to be 11-12
years old, which is at the peak of the normal lifespan for ferrets.  If you
