Nothing silly about it, ferrets are still very much illegal to possess
in the State of California. It is true that some law enforcement
officers will turn a blind eye to people owning them, they truly do
have more pressing matters to attend to. But the fact remains that
Department of Fish and Game is still actively "deporting" or
euthanizing seized ferrets.
