I have two ferret walkabout bags--

The first is just a mesh beach bag with a velcro closure. The floor is
solid and I put a towel in the bottom for a furkid to hide/nest in. The
handles are big enough to carry the bag slung over your shoulder. Missy
really likes this bag because she can see everywhere, but Frankie (I
think) feels exposed in it, and likes to hide in the towel.
Unfortunately, the velcro closure is totally inadequate for actually
containing my guys. It seems that the excitement of new places always
leads to "I wanna see - I wanna go THERE - I wanna be OUT...".

The second is an official ferret bag that I got at Petco. The tag says
"caddis" in a pawprint logo. The bag is fleece-lined, except for half
of the front which is mesh, and has a zipper top. It came with shoulder
straps for you to wear it on your front like a baby carrier. I replaced
those with a single shoulder strap so I can carry it like a purse, which
is less conspicuous. I really like the zipper closure; it's secure, but
if someone is content to be carried about, I can open the zipper and let
a head peek out.
