Hello!
I am new to the list. My ferrets are Sox (silver male), Spaz (masked
sable male), Badger (masked sable male), and Aspen (masked sable female.
Recently we lost our red masked female Nermal to cancer. We think she was
6 years old.

Anyway, the main reason I joined the list was because I am interested in
feeding methods people use on their ferrets. Right now, mine are on
Totally Ferret but it is so expensive (costs more that my dog food!) and
there is only one place close that has it and they are usually out of
stock. I wrote to the manufacturers to find out if I can get it anywhere
else or if they can ship it to me, but I was wondering if anyone could
answer faster (I know how company website communications work!). I want
to know if there is a REALLY big bag for less $$.

Also, my dog is on BARF diet (some of you may have heard of this) it is all
raw foods that are natural to the animals digestive tract. I am curious if
anyone feeds their ferrets a raw diet at all. My ferrets like to eat gold
fish but they dont get them very often (once every 5 or 6 months). In the
wild I know ferrets eat birds and snakes and bugs. Someone tell me if they
have seen anyone do this with their ferrets.

Thanks!
Melissa
