FERRET'S DREAM HOUSE 845 TULIP RD. LYNX OH 45650 (937) 544-3313

This agreement is between Ferret's Dream House who is the shelter and
__________________________ the transferee shelter.

Transferee Shelter agrees to make a donation to Ferret's Dream House
Shelter in the amount of $______________ with the understanding that
the Transferee Shelter will:

1. Will be assuming the responsibility of altering (Spay/Neuter) the
ferret(s) before the ferret(s) reaches four (4) months of age, or
adopting them out with a spay/neuter contract If the ferrets are
adopted out on a spay neuter contract the following conditions will be
met:
- If the ferret(s) are over the age of four (4) months the Transferee
Shelter has 60 days to get them spay/neutered. Transferee Shelter must
provide a signed Veterinary Certificate as proof of the spay/neuter of
said Ferret/Kit.
- If the Transferee Shelter adopts the ferret/ferrets on a Spay/Neuter
contract they will have their adopter provide a Certification of
Spay/Neuter.
- If Transferee Shelter's adopter does not provide proof of spay/neuter
Transferee Shelter will have provisions in adoption contract for
removing the ferret/ferrets from the adopter.

2. It is understood that because the farm had been housing male and
female ferrets together there is a possibility of the jills being
pregnant. Veterinary health exam is extremely important to verify this.
If the jill indeed is pregnant, the Transferee Shelter agrees that all
kits will be altered at four (4) months of age, and not be sold or
given away prior to that age or without contacting Ferret's Dream
House. These terms also apply to jills that have already given birth
and are transferred with the kits. If the kits are adopted out prior
to being altered a spay/neuter contract must be in place and a copy of
said contract sent to Ferret's Dream House.

3. Transferee Shelter understands that they are responsible to have
said ferrets vet checked, immunized according to their city, county,
and state laws. That includes ADV testing, fecal testing, and any
other tests that are recommended by their veterinarian.

4. Transferee Shelter understands that they are responsible for
quarantining listed ferrets before bringing the ferret/s into their
main shelter population.

5. Transferee understands that they will be responsible for any and
all medical expenses incurred, and Ferret's Dream House and Lori Sies
will be held harmless.

6. Transferee Shelter understands that the shelter cannot and does not
make any representations or guarantees, either expressed or implied,
as to the temperament, habits, or background of the named ferret(s).

7. Therefore, in consideration of receiving the ferret(s), I hereby
release the shelter from any and all claims of liability for the
actions of the ferret(s) being adopted.

This agreement applies to the following ferret(s):

___Adults ___ Female ____ Male List Cage Number___________

___Kits (under 4 months) ___ Female ___ Male List Cage Number ______

I have read the entire contract and agree to all the conditions set
forth for the listed ferret/s. I agree to ALL conditions. I also
understand Ferrets Dream operates as a 501 (c) (3) charity, as a
service to ferrets and ferret owners, and as such is not a business.

Ok,I'm having problems understanding some of this contract. Not really
the understanding part as much as some of the demands of it.

Why would a donation from a shelter willing to take in these kids have
to give money to Lori when they will be spending so much to get the
ferrets spay/neutured ,vaced & ADV tested?

These are going to be hard to place ferts as they have not been
socialized.

Would it not be better to give the ferts to a shelter that is willing
to help with this mass number, get the medical issues taken care of &
be putting themselves in debt to do so? Than to do both a donation &
then seek medical help for these kids out of the shelters funds??

I'm not bashing Lori, thats not what I'm doing. She has done something
no one else has been able to do. But I can't see many shelters agreeing
with this contract.
