Hi Alexandra,
 
We should call you "Ferret Heart" :-).  I loved reading your story.  I
remember the first time I plucked my 7 week old deaf boy out of his cage
and handed him to my mom who came to meet the new kids and I said oh mom
I think he is dead.  I started to yell for my husband still holding this
baby close to me ready to cry when all of a sudden he opened one eye and
started to move.  We put him back in his hammie not knowing what was going
on as we were fairly new parents and then he looked at us like how dare
you wake me up :-).  Now I know it is mommy's time to cuddle and love
them all up.  Thank you for sharing that.  It touched my heart too.
