Dooks all,

This is my first post ever after reading for several months (I'm shy).

I have a sweet little sable (Sugar) and a dark-eyed white (Spice) - yes
that's backwards coloration-wise, but it keeps your brain active.

My motivation is my little Spice. He's over a year old now, and getting
skinnier every day!!! He's having little poops but the vet said he
didn't have a blockage. He had really bad fleas, but those evil things
have been zapped!!! My biggest worry, though, is we live in Arkansas,
and our vet is like "Uh sure...I take ferrets!" (he hadn't had one in
over a YEAR) And that's the best response I get of any of the 10 vets in
our town (this is a big farming community). I didn't feel all that great
about him. He gave them de-worming medicine, and afterwards (feeling
suspicious) I read that ferrets don't usually get worms and thus didn't
normally need it.

So does anyone know of ANY vets that actually see several ferrets a year
anywhere in central Arkansas!?!?!

I know there are hundreds of owners out there, even our local pet store
sells many (out of a reptile aquarium!!! grrr.) and there is a nearby
breeder (who i don't trust either). And of course 50 miles away is
Petco with like 20 horse-sized Marshall ferrets.

Go and have a spin in a tunnel,
Leslie (mommy to Sugar and Spice)
