Thank you, for your thoughtful post, this morning.  I don`t think people
realize that we hurt, too, when there is a loss---and as you so truly
stated, we are losing more than private families do.  Troy Lynn is an
excellent example.
 
The only loss we have posted here (on FML) this year, was our
Cleo--because she was our first rescue---but we have had six losses
already in 2003.
 
Many are dumped here, due to age, or illness.  Zoo`s provides a loving
home for life.We bond with them, go through all medical treatments
necessary, hospice, when there`s nothing more that can be done----- and
we grieve when we lose them...It doesn`t get any easier.  It`s comforting
to know that someone out there understands....
