First off, Thanks to everybody who helped me with my coughing and sneezing
one. I greatly appreciate it and I am awaiting the results.

Ok, Ok, I know I am new to being a ferret owner but I am at my wits end over
this now. I have tried everything but bolt it down. I have two ferrets,
one female named Sandy she will be two in Feb. and is not litter box
trained at all. The other one is a 9 month old male named Scooter and
according to the shelter and all the papers is littler box trained.

However, every time I but the litter box down in the cage and try and secure
it in some fashion he simply digs all the litter sand out onto the floor of
the cage and then tries to move the box so he can see whats on the other
side only to turn it over etc etc. We have even put paper down only to have
him burrow under it or spend all nite digging at it or simply lean over the
edge to have the pile end up on the outside of the cage. I have had enough
of the 3 A.M. wake up calls of his and want to know if their is a way to
stop this or do I have to bolt the litter box to the floor of the cage.
When he was at the shelter he was in a cage with other ferrets and their
wasn't piles all over the place he doesn't even mind going right in front of
the food bowl only to have to lean way over just so not to touch it when
he's eating. This past weekend we went and got some vinyl floor covering
and put that in the bottom of the cage for easy clean up but so far all hes
done is try and find a way to pry it up.

Also, he is now starting to attack Sandy (who use to be the Queen B! of
them all) and she't not taking to kindly to it but she't not fighting back
either it' just alot of hisses etc but they are playing together it's just
he get so excited it's like he can't stop himself from playing rough he even
plays rough with me and I have to keep telling him no on the bitting part
but he's a sweet and loving boy but I am at my wits end on how to litter box
train them both without having them really hate me. I have just tried
everything but nothing is working and I am not sure what to do next. We
will be moving soon to another apt and I really would like to have them
litter box trained by that time so as not to mess up the new place. But, at
this rate they will never be house broken.

Any Suggestions????
