A couple of things.  Bring a ferret first-aid kit with you (as listed in
previous posts or contact Marie <[log in to unmask]> for her manual).  As well,
bring a copy of your rabies vaccinations/updated shots and have it with them
at all times.  If you can, find some ferret-knowledgable vets in the areas
where you will be travelling and have their info at hand in case something
goes wrong.  (see the Ferret Central list at
